Whole Home Remodels, Sequenced From the Kitchen

When the whole house is changing, the kitchen sets the order. Its plumbing, gas and circuits go in first, and every room follows the same schedule.

One plan, one sequence

A whole-house job goes wrong when trades come back to rooms they already finished. We plan the house as one sequence: demolition, framing changes, rough plumbing, gas, electrical and ducts, inspections, insulation, drywall, then floors, cabinets, counters and paint.

Opening up the floor plan

A whole-house project can remove the wall between the kitchen and the living space. If the wall carries load, an engineer sizes a beam and posts. If it hides pipes, ducts or wiring, those are rerouted. Both go into the plan and the permit before work starts.

Floors and finishes that run through

Continuous flooring through the kitchen and the rooms next to it reads as one space. We level the subfloor across the whole run, plan the transitions to tile and set the finish heights so doors and appliances still clear.
