Encino Kitchen and Whole Home Remodeling
Navon Home prepares Encino remodel drawings for LADBS plan check, then schedules each inspection so walls close, floors go in and finishes follow in sequence.
LADBS, the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, is the office that reviews plans for an Encino kitchen or whole home remodel, because Encino lies inside the City of Los Angeles. Its reviewers want to see the layout, the new circuits, any gas or drain change, the hood exhaust and the lighting before work starts. We prepare that set, answer plan check comments, and book inspections as each stage of the house opens and closes.
What plan check reads
For a kitchen, the drawings show where each appliance sits and which circuit feeds it, how the hood vents outdoors, and what size gas line serves a range. When a bearing wall comes out to join the kitchen to the next room, a structural sheet shows the beam and posts that carry the load above. Energy rules cover lighting controls and, in a bigger remodel, insulation where walls are opened. Corrections from the reviewer go back with revised sheets until the permit is issued.
Inspections in the order they happen
Rough plumbing, gas, electrical and framing are seen by an inspector while the walls are still open. Insulation is checked next where it applies. Only after those signoffs is drywall hung, taped and finished, and the new flooring laid across the kitchen and the rooms that connect to it. Cabinets, counters, fixtures and trim come last, followed by the final inspection that closes the permit. Keeping this sequence avoids opening a finished wall to show something that was covered too early.
What we plan and build in Encino
Every project here starts the same way: a measured layout, then the lines behind the walls, then finishes.
