Remodeling in Inglewood, Kitchen First
Inglewood remodeling from Navon Home, planned around a compact kitchen: storage, ducting and circuits settled first, then flooring, walls and finishes.
In an urban house, a compact kitchen gives every wall a job, and that room is where an Inglewood remodel starts with us. Storage, the hood duct and new circuits compete for the same short stretch of wall, and a window may claim part of it. We settle that layout on paper first, because each later choice, from the floor material to the paint color, depends on where those pieces land.
Storage that fits a tight plan
Base cabinets with deep drawers hold more than shelves behind doors, and they keep pots within reach. A blind corner can take a pull-out unit so that space is usable. Where the ceiling allows, uppers can run to the top and close the gap that collects dust. A tall pantry cabinet beside the refrigerator gathers dry goods into one place. Each of these changes the cabinet count and the wall needed, so storage gets decided with the layout. The Inglewood building department reviews the drawings for any electrical, gas or structural change before cabinets are ordered.
A floor for the kitchen and the room beside it
In a smaller house, the kitchen floor can continue into a dining or living area, so the material has to suit both rooms. Porcelain tile shrugs off spills and dropped pans, and luxury vinyl plank feels warmer and quieter underfoot. Either can run under the cabinets or stop at their base, which affects the dishwasher opening and the counter height, so that decision is made with the layout. Paint goes on after the trim, once the wall patches left by rerouted wiring are taped, coated and smoothed.
What we plan and build in Inglewood
Every project here starts the same way: a measured layout, then the lines behind the walls, then finishes.
