Kitchen Remodeling in Camarillo
Navon Home prepares Camarillo kitchen drawings for the city building department: layout, circuits, hood duct and gas sizing, settled before plan review.
Camarillo runs its own building department, and a kitchen remodel goes to it for plan check once the work touches plumbing, gas, wiring or a wall. Its reviewer wants the layout settled before anything else. We start there, with a measured floor plan showing cabinets, appliances and clearances, then add the circuit layout, the hood duct and the gas sizing on later sheets. Finishes wait until the reviewer has signed off on the room itself.
Sheets the plan checker reads
The floor plan marks every base and wall cabinet, each appliance width and the walkway between counters. Electrical pages place the counter receptacles, the dedicated appliance circuits and the lighting, and they state what the panel is rated to carry. Mechanical notes give the hood capacity and the route its duct takes to an outside wall or the roof. A gas range adds a line sizing note. If a bearing wall is opened, the beam, its posts and the load path down to the footing go on a structural page. Comments come back in writing and are answered with revised pages.
Inspections and a plan for damp air
Inspectors come for rough framing, rough plumbing and gas, and rough electrical, all before insulation goes in or a wall is closed. Each visit has to clear before the next trade starts. Where humid outdoor air is part of the picture, we plan for it at the points where the kitchen meets water and the outdoors: a stainless hood cap, sealed cut edges on the sink base, and a sill pan under the window. Work in Ventura, Moorpark and Newbury Park follows the same inspection order, filed with whichever office serves each address.
What we plan and build in Camarillo
Every project here starts the same way: a measured layout, then the lines behind the walls, then finishes.
