Glendale Kitchen and Whole Home Remodeling
Navon Home remodels Glendale homes by fixing the kitchen layout, hood route and clearances first, then the floors, drywall and finishes around them.
A kitchen job in Glendale is planned the same way as one in Burbank, Eagle Rock, La Canada Flintridge, Toluca Lake, South Pasadena or Los Angeles. The layout comes first: where the sink, range and refrigerator land, how the hood leaves the house and which walls move. Each permit goes to the department that covers the address, and the order of work after that does not change from one city to the next.
Clearances drawn before anything is chosen
Small measurements decide whether a kitchen works. The aisle in front of the range has to leave room for an open oven door and a person passing behind it. A dishwasher near a corner needs a filler so its door clears the adjoining drawers. The refrigerator needs space for its door to swing wide enough to pull out the crisper bins. We draw these at scale, along with landing space beside the cooktop and the sink, and show them to you on the drawing. When a clearance fails at this stage, the fix is a moved line, which is far easier to change than a set cabinet.
Getting the hood air outside
A hood can exit through an exterior wall or rise through the attic to a roof cap, and the route affects both its performance and the cabinet above the range. Short, straight runs with few elbows move air best, so the duct path is drawn with the layout. Rigid metal duct matched to the hood outlet keeps airflow steady. A very powerful hood may also need make-up air, which brings in outside air to replace what it removes, and the Glendale building department reviews that with the mechanical work. Once the route is set, drywall and flooring are planned around it.
What we plan and build in Glendale
Every project here starts the same way: a measured layout, then the lines behind the walls, then finishes.
