Kitchen Remodeling in Glendora
Navon Home plans a Glendora kitchen from its outside wall in, choosing the hood exit and sink window for hard sun, dry wind and any ember rules on the lot.
Every Glendora remodel we plan is drawn from the kitchen outward, and the kitchen wall that faces outdoors carries the most decisions. On any inland lot that wall takes hard sun and dry wind. Glendora land appears on fire hazard maps in places, and a lot inside a mapped area may face ember-resistance rules for whatever the kitchen pushes through that wall, whether a hood exit, a vent or a larger window.
Choosing where the hood exits
The range position on the layout decides whether the hood duct climbs through the roof or runs straight out a side wall, and each path ends in its own cap. On a mapped lot, the reviewer may look for a metal cap with a damper that shuts when the fan is off, or a termination listed as ember resistant. A short, straight duct moves more air for the same fan, so the range goes on an outside wall when the floor plan allows it. Any new vent near the eaves is kept clear of corners where blown debris piles up.
Glass over the sink
When the plan enlarges the window above the sink, a mapped lot may require dual-pane glass with at least one tempered pane. A low-e coating on that unit also cuts the heat strong afternoon light pushes into the room, keeping the counter and the cabinet faces beside the glass cooler. The City of Glendora building department checks the window and the hood route during plan review, then inspects the framing, gas and wiring before drywall goes up. San Dimas, La Verne and Covina kitchens are planned from that same outside wall.
What we plan and build in Glendora
Every project here starts the same way: a measured layout, then the lines behind the walls, then finishes.
